1982 :
LIVING ABROAD has come about through the combined efforts of young people putting all their enthusiasm and professional expertise at the disposal of foreigners, stationed in Belgium for professional reasons.
The idea originally came from Patrick and Gerda Van Laere - Cassauwers who, quite by coincidence, got in touch with foreign staff members of multinationals and their families.

1989 :
Miche Olyslager started working with the Living Abroad team.
After reading an article in the newspaper (Gazet Van Antwerpen) about Living Abroad, she telephoned if they needed any help ... . Nowadays, Miche helps us out, whenever we're short of time.

1996 :
For about 15 years now, this Belgian couple has been assisting people in getting familiar with Belgian social and cultural life, thus shielding them from the disrupting feelings of alienation that are likely to occur when people have to move abroad for a considerable period of time.
Michael Lesicki, who got in touch with Patrick and Gerda as a student, joined the LIVING ABROAD team.

Future :
Realizing the growing need for relocation assistance, we will do our utmost to help all your foreign staff members and their families moving to Belgium.
We will be faithfull to our slogan: "We will take the aggravation so you can feel at home, away from home".
