  • Provide you with an extensive manual, covering the most essential topics of Belgian society in general and Antwerp in particular, together with street maps and tourist guides.
  • Show you around on a pre-move visiting tour, prior to your actual transfer to Belgium. ( social activities, sports, shopping, suppliers, etc... )
  • Take you to your hotel and assist you with luggage and registration formalities.

"You will understand that I'd like to be in my new home as soon as possible. It is no fun to live in a hotel for several weeks." This is a major problem if one has children.

LIVING ABROAD will :
  • Make your hotel reservations.
  • See to it that your stay in hotel rooms is limited.
  • Search and visit suitable housing to rent ( apartment or house ) - and possibility to search for suitable property to buy.
  • Assist you with all aspects of moving - in, including lease contract formalities, negotiations with landlord, checking survey and inventory report of the property, insurances, house decoration, utilities, etc...
  • Provide short term rent solutions, in case it takes a while before you find the house that meets your demands.

  • Introduce you to the International School and its environment.

" I would like to have a bank account as soon as possible. "

  • Take care of your registration with townhall administration.
  • Get you a Belgian driver's licence.
  • Go through all red tape to get you gas, water, electricity, telephone, cable-television,...

  • Disconnect water, electricity, gas, telephone, ...
  • Follow up mail and bank payments, s.a. last telephone bill, electricity bill, etc...
  • Take care of the deregistration at townhall.
  • Assist you with all aspects of moving-out, including inventory when leaving the premises, cleaning up of the property, ...

Furthermore, we will render service at any time. It doesn't stop after you've moved in. We continuously try to solve your problems during your stay, if possible. We have a list of reliable contractors to call upon in case of an emergency.
